Our Story

Tjaetaba Cultural Tours has grown from a deep family legacy and a long‑standing connection to Country. Founded by Frederick Moreen, a Marranunggu Traditional Owner from the Litchfield region, the business is inspired by the legacy of Frederick’s great‑great‑grandfather, Tjaetaba, and the responsibility passed down through generations to care for and protect this Country.

Born and raised on his family’s ancestral lands in the Northern Territory, Frederick learned from his grandparents, Elders and community, developing a strong understanding of sacred sites, cultural responsibility and the significance of Tjaetaba Falls. That lived knowledge shapes every aspect of Tjaetaba Cultural Tours, with Frederick and his family continuing the role of cultural custodians, storytellers and guides, sharing the traditions, wisdom and spiritual connections that define this place.

Tjaetaba Cultural Tours offers more than a journey through nature. It represents a long‑term vision for Aboriginal‑led tourism on Country, creating meaningful cultural experiences that connect visitors to living heritage, Creation Ancestors, unique landscapes and community knowledge. The business is committed to cultural continuity, community benefit and sustainable growth, using tourism as a pathway to support employment, strengthen wellbeing and ensure cultural, social, economic and environmental outcomes for future generations.

Tjaetaba Cultural Tours is about caring for Country, sharing knowledge and creating a strong future for generations to come.
